Returning to the Cards: A Gentle Reawakening

I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and start offering tarot readings again. It feels strange to say it out loud after all this time, as though I am opening a door I once locked and boarded up for my own protection. From 2012 to 2022, many of you will remember that I ran an online business teaching courses and workshops, both in person and online, centred around Paganism, witchcraft, and all manner of holistic crafts. Tarot was one of the brightest beating hearts of that old world. I was always rushed off my feet with readings, constantly booked and endlessly connecting with people and their stories, their shadows, their crossroads.

But when that decade-long chapter closed, I was utterly burned out. The flame had sputtered. I withdrew quietly and completely. For the last few years, I have only read tarot for a tiny handful of people, and mostly it has been something I kept for myself. A personal ritual, a private lantern in the dark.

This summer, I dipped my toes back into offering services when I beg
an doing bone readings again. The plan was to gradually move from bones to tarot and gently rebuild the work I once loved. However, in very typical me fashion, I booked too much too fast and everything collapsed under the weight of my own exhaustion. The whole plan stopped before it truly started.

Now I am doing things differently. Slowly, gently, carefully. I am offering certain services again, and tarot is one of them, but this time I am keeping strict boundaries and a softer pace. At the moment I am offering only one type of reading, which is a general email tarot reading. This reading looks at the querent’s life as it stands right now and connects to their current energy. It offers insight, clarity, and guidance for the path they are presently walking.

I have chosen to offer these readings through my Etsy shop. I do not want to run a separate website or scatter my services across different platforms. Etsy keeps everything in one place, it protects both parties, and it gives you a space to leave feedback if you wish. It feels simple, contained, and manageable, which is exactly what I need.

I am excited, in that soft and cautious way that comes when you return to something you once loved and burnt out on. A quiet spark rather than a wildfire. I am looking forward to working with some of you again and slowly opening the door to this world I stepped away from. It feels like finding my way back with steadier hands.
